Project Lead Engineer (80-100%)

For our client, an international industrial leader based in the canton of Aargau, we are looking for a motivated, proactive, and experienced Project Lead Engineer (80-100%) to join their traction division.



 

• Workplace: Untersiggenthal, Aargau, Switzerland

• Workload: 80–100% (please mention your preference)

• Employment Type: Permanent

• Remote/Home Office: Hybrid work model

• Technical Leadership: Act as the technical lead for a team of specialist engineers on complex traction system customer projects, collaborating closely with the Commercial Project Manager.

• Design Authority: Serve as the technical design authority for complete projects, driving all corresponding engineering and design activities.

• Project Execution: Ensure all engineering discipline activities within the project are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and within the defined time, cost, and scope framework.

• Stakeholder & Customer Interface: Act as the main technical representative of the project toward customers and suppliers.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive key decisions and maintain close collaboration with local and global engineering teams, R&D, product management, and production.

• Process Excellence: Actively promote, apply, and continuously improve engineering practices, methodologies, and processes.
• Key Stakeholders: Product Management, Project Management, R&D, and Production

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Professional Experience: At least 5 years of work experience in a technical, customer-focused environment, ideally within the railway, E-bus, or heavy electric vehicle propulsion sectors.

• Project Management: Proven experience in technical project management.

• Mindset & Work Style: A highly self-motivated and curious individual with a structured, organized approach to tackling engineering challenges.

• Interpersonal Skills: A strong team player who thrives in high-performing team dynamics and communicates effectively across various levels.
