Job Description

  • Provide care to individuals and groups of all ages suffering from psychiatric disorders.
  • Ensure secure care for adults and young adults in psychiatric crisis situations.
  • Lead various types of patient groups.
  • Assess the clinical condition of patients upon admission, ensure structured monitoring of their progress, and adapt care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team (development of a patient pathway).
  • Be able to identify and prevent crisis situations and manage them if necessary.
  • Implement specialised nursing interventions, individual or group, aimed at stabilisation, regaining autonomy, and relapse prevention.
  • Maintain excellent collaboration within a multidisciplinary team as well as with various regional networks.
  • Involve the patient in their own care to strengthen their self-esteem, responsibility, and autonomy in action and decision-making.
  • Participate in therapeutic and medical measures by managing delegated treatments and monitoring the patient’s progress.
  • Develop an individualised care approach (nurse’s own role).
  • Collect information; analyse it; make a nursing diagnosis; determine care objectives; implement appropriate actions; evaluate them and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain and develop daily living activities (hygiene, comfort, relationships).
  • Inform and provide necessary and appropriate education to the client and their immediate family to strengthen their responsibility and autonomy in action and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in adult psychiatry (a CAS in psychiatry or a DU in mental health is an advantage).
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills: active listening, professional stance, mediation ability.
  • Good ability to manage complex and unpredictable situations.
  • Ability to integrate and adapt within a multidisciplinary team (doctors, psychologists, nurses, ASSC, etc.).
  • Sense of responsibility and good priority management.
  • Strong interest in interdisciplinary work.
  • Team spirit.
  • Flexibility, motivation, and dynamism.
  • Comfortable using IT tools.
  • Availability to work a schedule with day/night rotations and weekends.
  • Interest in the evolution of clinical practices and innovation in psychiatric care.
