For one of our clients, we are looking for an Accounting Assistant FR / ENG on a permanent contract at 60% based in Geneva. The assistant will join the Accounting / Back-Office Service department of the company.
Accounting Assistant FR / ENG 60% (m / f)
Our client is a well-established financial company in Switzerland and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Integration within the Accounting / Back-Office department;
- Administrative management of income related to third-party funds (reconciliation of held positions, follow-up of certificate requests with custodian banks, verification of retrocession statements, monitoring of new fund contracts);
- Analysis of discrepancies between estimates and actual statements;
- Management of the third-party funds tracking database;
- Supplier accounting entry;
- Entry/storage of supporting documents (PDF and paper format);
- Preparation of bi-monthly supplier payment files;
- Petty cash accounting (counting and accounting processing);
- Quarterly monitoring and calculation of stamp duties due for foreign custodian banks;
- Participation in quarterly closings and preparation of group reporting;
- Various reporting and Back-Office tasks;
- Administrative support;
- Participation in daily office life.
Candidate Profile
- Accounting training;
- 2 to 3 years of similar professional experience in an accounting department, ideally in the banking sector;
- Proficiency with the GIT accounting tool (desired);
- Very good knowledge of common office tools (Office Suite in general, Microsoft Excel in particular);
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written;
- Good command of English, both spoken and written;
- Excellent ability to analyse and synthesise financial information;
- Autonomous, organised, methodical and rigorous working method;
- Teamwork, integrity, discretion;
- Sense of confidentiality;
- Swiss residency.
