Compiler Eng

As a Senior Compiler Engineer, you will shape the compiler and software stack for a novel hardware architecture. You will influence architecture, tooling, and platform direction in collaboration with the founders and hardware engineers. You’ll build a LLVM/MLIR-based compiler stack, optimize for target processors, and translate workloads into efficient execution. This early-stage role offers significant ownership and a clear impact on product direction and performance. You’ll work in a fast-moving environment with a mission to push compute capabilities forward.

• Design and implement a compiler stack for new hardware architecture
• Create intermediate representations, passes, and lowering pipelines
• Develop hardware-aware optimisations and code-generation capabilities
• Translate high-level workloads to efficient target-specific execution
• Collaborate with founders and hardware engineers on hardware–software co-design
• Define interfaces across compiler, runtime, and architecture layers
• Profile, benchmark, and debug generated workloads
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and engineering standards

• Strong modern C++ development experience
• Professional compiler engineering experience using LLVM, MLIR or comparable infrastructure
• Solid understanding of IRs, compiler passes, lowering and optimisation
• Experience working close to hardware or targeting processors, accelerators or custom silicon
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
• Ownership mindset and track record of building technology platforms from ground up
• Experience developing compilers for GPUs, NPUs, DSPs, FPGAs or other accelerators
