Reinsurance Manager Group Reinsurance - Underwriter (all genders)

In this role you will own the reinsurance treaty cessions for assigned business units, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to optimize risk transfer. You will manage treaty setup, data gathering, and negotiations, while strengthening relationships across the Helvetia Group and with reinsurers. You contribute to data-driven underwriting and ensure smooth administration of contracts. This opportunity lets you shape risk strategies while supporting customer protection and team development.

• Overall responsibility for reinsurance treaty cessions for assigned business units and group protections
• Organize and participate in meetings with business units and reinsurance partners (brokers and reinsurers)
• Set up and manage reinsurance treaties; handle the process with supporting systems
• Secure underwriting information (premiums, portfolio/risk profiles, claims, NatCat data) in coordination with Risk Assessment
• Analyze data and prepare underwriting information for applicable lines of business and programs
• Develop and maintain relationships with business partners inside and outside the Helvetia Group
• Negotiate treaty terms and conditions with assigned business units and third-party reinsurers
• Account handler for dedicated reinsurance contracts including administration and controlling of premium and claims accounting

• University degree or apprenticeship/trainee in (re)insurance or any relevant qualification
• Experience in a similar position or as (Senior) Underwriter for reinsurance treaty business
• Fluent in German and English; other languages are an asset
• Ability to present to internal and external audiences
• Advanced analytical, quantitative, and decision-making skills
