Overview
In this role you will own the monthly supply planning cycle for Lonza's Microbial operations, aligning with S&OP and budget processes. You will build and improve the supply plan, including MPS and capacity outlooks, while mitigating risks with cross-functional partners. Your work supports reliable, compliant delivery of medicines and helps optimize inventory and resources. This hands-on, site-based role offers collaborative, cross-functional impact and a path to develop within a global manufacturing network.

- Own and execute the monthly supply planning cycle for Microbial operations, aligned with integrated planning, S&OP, and budgets
- Create, maintain, and improve the Supply Plan, including MPS and medium-term capacity outlooks
- Anticipate supply risks and develop mitigation strategies with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Finance
- Lead supply plan accuracy improvements through KPI tracking, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Partner with Inventory Management to set inventory targets, manage new/phase-out materials, and reduce excess/obsolete inventory
- Ensure supply plans are maintained and used in SAP IBP and SAP ECC, driving capacity plans
- Provide functional leadership of MRP and Scheduling activities with solid master data governance
- Proven experience in Supply Planning / Production Planning in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or complex manufacturing
- Strong understanding of S&OP, MPS, MRP, inventory management, and capacity planning
- Hands-on experience with SAP IBP and SAP ECC (or equivalent advanced planning systems)
- Analytical mindset to translate data into decisions and actionable plans
- Strong stakeholder management with ability to build consensus across global, cross-functional teams
- Experience leading planning processes or guiding planners/schedulers with a continuous-improvement mindset
- Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field
