Senior Scientist QC (f/m/d)

In this role you will act as the primary liaison between QC customers and CSM to author, review, and revise GMP reference standard qualification documents for biotechnological materials. You’ll drive timely qualification reporting to support LIMS/LES workflows and contribute to change management and documentation quality. You will mentor colleagues, lead innovation projects to improve cost and efficiency, and provide SME input during audits. This position sits at the intersection of quality, analytical development, and customer collaboration within Lonza’s life sciences environment.

• Author, revise, and review GMP reference standard qualification protocols and reports for biotechnological reference materials
• Ensure timely completion of qualification documents to enable LIMS/LES activities and test schedules
• Provide technical mentoring within a matrix environment
• Support change management and Trackwise records for reference standards
• Lead innovation projects to optimize cost and efficiency in the area
• Provide SME input during audits and inspections
• Ensure compliance with quality, data integrity, and safety requirements
• Collaborate with QC project leads, QA Analytics, and external clients

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Life Sciences
• Proven experience in a cGMP environment, preferably in quality control or analytical development
• Exceptional technical writing skills
• Advanced scientific experience in analytical chemistry/biology
• Extensive knowledge of QC software (LIMS/LES, DMS, Trackwise, Statistica)
• Team player and adaptable to change
• Proficiency in English; German preferred
