Design Technician

For our client company based in Raron, we are looking for a Design Technician to start ASAP until the end of May 2027, with the possibility of an extension.

Language Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Developing the technical documentation and information necessary for the fabrication of the products.
• Ensuring the preparation of documentation (drawings and parts lists) for parts manufacturing.
• Acting as a consulting position for new designs.
• Modeling devices, tools, and measuring equipment.
• Maintaining the document master.
• Designing subsystems for medical technology using 2D and 3D CAD.
• Ensuring the preparation of documentation (drawings, parts lists, and pictograms) for parts production.
• Creating production drawings suitable for manufacturing in accordance with Jabil standards.
• Coordinating and processing change requests.
• Handling materials and machines carefully.
• Knowing and following all instructions and guidelines necessary for the preparation of drawings.
• Developing solution proposals and solution variants according to the instructions of the project manager or supervisor.
• Modeling implants and instruments based on the specifications of the Product Development Centers on 3D CAD.
• Participating as a member of the project team for new products.
• Providing technical support to the production department.
• Designing and drawing simple fixtures and tools according to production requirements, as well as simple test fixtures according to Quality department requirements.
• Preparing data for production, PDCs, and third-party suppliers.
• Ensuring own deputization.
• Collaborating in the areas of LEAN / 5S etc. within the team.
• Supporting the training of apprentices.
• Supporting the standardization of Jabil projects.
• Knowing and following the guidelines regarding the code of conduct, ethics, and compliance programs, as well as all other relevant Jabil regulations.
• Performing additional tasks according to the person in charge of management.

Job Profile

• Education: Completed basic education or higher school education.
• Experience: 2-4 years of practical experience in construction/development (excluding apprenticeship graduates).
• Technical Skills: Good knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD, PLM, GD&T, and Office.
• Soft Skills: Efficiency/Effectiveness, creativity, flexibility, initiative, customer orientation, communication skills, and the ability to work in a team.
