Network Engineer

The Vaud Hospitals (FHVi) is the preferred partner of over 12 hospitals and regional healthcare establishments in the canton of Vaud. FHVi supports them in the many challenges of digitizing the healthcare sector and has the main missions of planning, designing, implementing, and operating the information systems of its members. There are more than 110 employees serving a network of over workstations distributed across around a hundred geographical sites and in three cantons (VD, VS, FR). The position is addressed indifferently to a woman or a man. For ease of reading, terms are used in the masculine form.Your mission: Within the Networking team of the Infrastructure department of FHVi, you will contribute to the design, evolution, and support of the LAN and WAN networks of FHVi and its partner establishments, spread across about a hundred sites. You will participate in strengthening security, connected devices on the network, filtering, as well as implementing technologies ensuring high availability of the network.Main activities and responsibilities:- Processing service requests from our establishments and business managers (managing tickets, the network, and security tools)- Managing incidents on the FHVi network and those of partner networks for new medical and technical solutions (PCs, servers, IoT devices, mobility, etc.)- Responsible for monitoring, you will ensure performance and availability of the LAN (wired and WiFi), WAN, and new network and security standards on sites - Network security (filtering, NAC) and on-call serviceProfile sought:- Higher education in networking (Bachelor or Master), or equivalent qualification- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a network engineer or in a similar role, ideally in a complex environment- Knowledge of routing and switching on Cisco equipment- Good knowledge of Fortinet Firewall technologies or equivalent (clusters, zoning, L4/L7 filtering)- A CCNA or CCNP is highly desirable- Experience with Aruba Wi-Fi solutions or equivalent is a plus- Knowledge of NAC is a plus- Familiarity with scripting, management tools is a plus- Familiar with Microsoft, Linux technologies and open-source toolsPersonal qualities:- Client-oriented and service-minded (listening, availability, respect, responsiveness)- Team spirit and collaboration- Good oral communication and rigor, structured, methodical, responsive- Respects and enforces FHVi's operating proceduresLanguages:- French: Proficient in spoken and written, confident writing- English: Confident professional expressionActivity rate: 100%What we offer you:- A stimulating opportunity to evolve in the healthcare sector, a constantly evolving field with meaning- The possibility to actively contribute to ambitious projects related to ongoing digital initiatives- A pleasant working environment, located on the green site of Cery in Prilly, within a human-sized team where team spirit and proximity are valued- Employment conditions in accordance with those in force at FHVi: - 13th salary - 25 vacation days per year (30 days from age 50) - Access to continuous training to support your professional development - Telecommuting possibilities (40% based on conditions) - Subsidized on-site parking and easy accessibility by public transportAre you looking for your next adventure?
