Project Manager in Architecture

To strengthen its team, the urban planning, public works, and energy department is looking for a: Project Manager in Architecture. Your mission: Within the urban planning, public works, and energy department, you will be responsible for the technical and financial management of significant architecture and urban planning projects with high objectives in architectural quality and construction.Main activities:- Act as the project owner's representative for construction projects, public buildings, and equipment;- Organize and oversee the selection procedures according to rules defined by the AIMP (calls for tenders, competitions, or parallel studies);- Lead and monitor municipal projects from the study phase to completion while ensuring adherence to architectural quality, sustainability, costs, and timeframes;- Support and supervise the technical teams in preparing calls for tenders, financial tracking, work descriptions, and specifications;- Support and supervise the technical teams during construction, coordination, and site management;- Ensure the follow-up, support, and presentation of files before the City Council, municipal partners and stakeholders.Profile:- Architect diploma (EPF, HES or equivalent);- At least 7 years of professional experience in managing significant projects;- Experience in a project ownership or project management assistance role;- Good knowledge of the Geneva regulatory framework for construction and planning;- Experience in public projects;- Strong interest in sustainability, energy issues, and public space quality;- Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders;- Sense of responsibility, autonomy, and team spirit;- Very good writing skills and strong analytical abilities;- Mastery of IT tools.Offer:- A position in class K according to the city's salary scale;- A dynamic working environment within the city of Meyrin;- The opportunity to participate in significant urban projects for the municipality;- A stimulating working environment promoting exchanges.Start date: Summer or autumn 2023.If you are interested in this position, please send your complete application (cover letter, curriculum vitae, copies of diplomas and work certificates) by Sunday, April 19.
