JOB GOAL

ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL: Grades K-8

JOB GOAL : To promote students\' safety, wellness, health maintenance and physical fitness; provide students with an understanding of the relationship of a healthy body to healthy behaviors; and to cultivate knowledge and skills that are conducive to good physical and mental health.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate for Health and Physical Education or ability to obtain certification through the Limited Instructional Certification Program.
• Holders of Certificates of Eligibility must complete the 50-hour pre-professional requirement.
• Demonstrates knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions, both verbally and written, in the English language.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
