You’ll partner with senior leaders across functions to optimize supplier strategies and deliver measurable business outcomes. You lead negotiations, cultivate strategic partnerships, and steer category governance in a complex, global matrix. - Own and evolve the multi-year contract manufacturing category strategy to deliver value in cost transformation, risk management, supply continuity, sustainability, and innovation.
- Provide market intelligence by translating supply/demand dynamics, cost drivers, and capacity trends into actionable strategies.
- Influence senior leaders to optimize contract manufacturing strategies, reduce costs, manage risk, and create enterprise value.
- Serve as subject matter expert for contract manufacturing procurement, delivering market briefings and strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Lead global/regional category teams in a matrix environment to ensure aligned execution.
- Act as lead negotiator for major contract manufacturing agreements with significant business impact.
- Oversee supplier relationship management programs to boost performance and partnerships.
- Drive proactive risk reviews and mitigation using dual sourcing, diversification, and inventory strategies.
- Assess manufacturing footprint, supplier capabilities, capacity, and make-vs-buy opportunities to improve resilience.
- Collaborate with Operations, R&D/Technology, and Finance to manage cost exposure and align strategy with enterprise priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related sciences preferred
- 15+ years of progressive procurement experience with leadership in contract manufacturing Procurement in global settings
- Deep expertise in global contract manufacturing markets, outsourcing models, capacity planning, cost structures, and strategic partnerships
- Proven track record in high-value negotiations, contracting, and supplier strategies delivering long-term advantage
- Experience delivering procurement value through contract manufacturing optimization, cost reduction, supplier innovation, and network design
- Ability to advise and influence C-level stakeholders with market intelligence and data-driven recommendations
- Collaborative, resilient, high-integrity leadership in a global matrix with ambiguity and executive visibility
- Good understanding of raw material categories and global market dynamics
- Experience leveraging digital procurement tools, analytics, and AI-enabled insights
- Professional certification such as CIPS or ISM is an advantage
