Firmware Development Engineer

In this role you develop and enhance embedded firmware for mechatronic components, translating customer needs into robust software. You will work within a global, cross-functional team to drive engineering excellence and adopt modern technologies. • Design and implement concepts based on customer requirements
• Develop and customize embedded firmware for mechatronic components
• Contribute to software architecture and apply design principles
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and knowledge sharing
• Apply state-of-the-art technologies to meet project objectives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary, globally distributed teams
• Support debugging, testing, and validation activities

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or related field
• Several years of embedded software development experience in C/C++
• Hands-on experience with Git, debugging, testing, and embedded development tools
• Strong knowledge of microcontrollers and protocols UART, SPI, I2C
• Experience with industrial protocols such as EtherCAT, Ethernet, DeviceNet, CC-Link
• Experience contributing to or leading software architecture activities
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English; German is an advantage
