Overview
As Compliance Director, you will lead the Swiss compliance framework for a regulated financial institution, reporting to the Global Head of Compliance. You balance autonomy with collaboration across local leadership and regional initiatives, ensuring regulatory alignment and robust controls. You will guide senior management on regulatory, conduct and compliance matters and oversee AML/KYC, governance, and reporting. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a lean, high-visibility environment.

- Maintain and enhance the firm's compliance framework and control environment
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement applicable requirements
- Act as primary contact with Swiss regulators and external auditors
- Advise senior management and stakeholders on regulatory and conduct matters
- Oversee AML, KYC and broader financial crime compliance
- Manage compliance monitoring, risk assessments and regulatory reporting
- Support audits, regulatory reviews and remediation initiatives
- Lead and contribute to regulatory, transformation and strategic projects
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Operations, HR and business units to promote a culture of compliance
- ≥10 years of compliance experience in a regulated financial services environment
- Strong knowledge of Swiss financial market regulation and regulator interaction
- Experience in asset management, wealth management, banking, securities, fintech or similar institutions
- Solid expertise in compliance monitoring, governance, AML and KYC
- Ability to work independently and own a broad remit
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Pragmatic, commercially minded with high regulatory standards
