IT Systems Engineer

In this role you will operate, maintain, and continuously improve modern IT infrastructure across data centers and offices. You’ll manage Linux server environments, Proxmox virtualization, and storage platforms such as Ceph and ZFS to ensure reliability, availability, and security. You will provision, patch, monitor, and support core infrastructure services, and contribute to hardware lifecycle management and on-call incident response. Collaborating with infrastructure teams, you’ll drive automation and documentation to scale enterprise services and enable business-critical platforms.

• Manage Linux-based server infrastructure
• Operate Proxmox virtualization environments
• Maintain storage platforms (Ceph, ZFS)
• Provision, patch, and monitor servers
• Administer DNS, DHCP, NTP, backup and disaster recovery
• Support hardware lifecycle management across colocation facilities
• Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, and Exchange Online
• Assist with networking, VPN, and firewalls
• Collaborate with infrastructure and network engineers on improvements
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in on-call rotation

• Hands-on Linux system administration experience
• Experience with virtualization (Proxmox, VMware, or comparable)
• Knowledge of storage, backups, and DR concepts
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking and core infrastructure services
• Scripting experience ( Bash, PowerShell, Python) is a plus
• Knowledge of Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, MS 365, Entra ID, or AD is an advantage
• Analytical, proactive mindset and ownership attitude
• Background in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or computer science
• Fluent English
