Senior Specialist - Footwear Design

In this role you drive the design of high-performance Team Sports footwear, transforming athlete insights, biomechanics and AI-enabled workflows into innovative concepts. You own projects from research to commercialization, collaborating with engineering and testing teams while briefing production partners. You will create concepts, mocks, and 2D/3D assets, accelerating iteration through advanced digital tools. • Lead end-to-end footwear design projects from research to commercialization
• Translate athlete biomechanics and movement patterns into actionable design solutions
• Develop concepts, mockups, visuals, and 2D/3D assets for rapid iteration
• Leverage AI-driven ideation and computational design in concept exploration
• Collaborate with sports engineering, biomechanics and testing teams to validate hypotheses
• Coordinate with development partners in Vietnam and participate in prototype finalization trips
• Contribute to shaping On’s design vision and creative culture in Team Sports

• 3+ years of performance footwear design experience
• Strong understanding of athlete needs and movement patterns in team sports
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Advanced skills in 3D design tools (Maya, ZBrush, Blender, Rhino or similar)
• Experience with AI-enabled creative tools and generative design workflows
• Knowledge of footwear construction, materials and manufacturing processes
• Hands-on ability to build physical mockups/prototypes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in cross-functional teams
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
