Infrastructure Network Engineer

Join a highly technical engineering team as a Telecom Infrastructure & Network Engineer, responsible for operating and maintaining telecom and data center infrastructure that underpins business-critical messaging platforms. You will manage carrier connectivity and protocol-level troubleshooting across SMPP, SS7/SIGTRAN, and related technologies, ensuring reliability across multiple data center environments. The role also covers enterprise networking, virtualization, storage, and core services, with hands-on work in Linux, Proxmox, Ceph, and ZFS. You will participate in incident response, infrastructure improvements, and on-call rotations while documenting processes and supporting colocation

• Manage SMPP and SS7/SIGTRAN connectivity with carriers, customers, and mobile network operators
• Onboard and test new telecom interconnections
• Troubleshoot protocol-level issues involving SMPP, SCTP, M3UA, and related technologies
• Manage Cisco-based networking environments, Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, BGP, and internet connectivity
• Work with Linux systems, Proxmox virtualization, Ceph and ZFS storage
• Maintain DNS, DHCP, NTP, backups, and high-availability services
• Participate in incident management, infrastructure improvements, and on-call rotation
• Maintain documentation and support physical infrastructure in colocation facilities

• Solid hands-on experience with TCP/IP networking
• Linux administration
• Structured technical troubleshooting
• Wireshark and packet-level analysis essential
• Knowledge of telecommunications protocols such as SMPP, SS7, SIGTRAN, SCTP, or M3UA (advantage)
• Familiarity with switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and enterprise networking concepts
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Proxmox, or comparable technologies (advantage)
• Exposure to virtualization, storage environments, backup solutions, and high-availability concepts (advantage)
