Overview
Join Amgen as a Senior Associate Global Safety for Local Safety Switzerland. You will support local pharmacovigilance in Switzerland and provide safety expertise to the business, ensuring compliant handling of adverse events and regulatory reporting. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams and the Safety Manager to embed PV requirements and support inspections. This role offers a chance to impact patient safety in a global biotech environment and to develop expertise in Swiss PV requirements. You’ll be part of a collaborative, growth‑oriented safety organization.

- Support Swiss local pharmacovigilance activities in line with Swiss legislation and Amgen procedures
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Swiss safety regulations and update local SOPs, manuals, and reporting requirements
- Assist in timely and compliant adverse event handling, literature reviews, safety reporting obligations, urgent safety communications and risk minimization
- Contribute to safety training on adverse event reporting for local staff and partners
- Support inspection readiness, inspections and internal audits within the role’s area
- Facilitate alignment with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Legal, Market Access and other affiliate functions on PV requirements
- Review local programs, vendor contracts, websites/social media projects, patient support programs, and market research from a PV perspective
- Pharmacovigilance experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting
- University degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, veterinary medicine or related healthcare field
- Practical understanding of Swiss PV requirements for post‑marketing and clinical trials
- Experience with PV audits and inspections is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Quality and other partners
- Ability to identify, prioritize and escalate safety issues; sound problem‑solving abilities
- Fluent in English and German; French and/or Italian is a plus
