Trade Finance Solutions Operations Expert

In this role you act as the expert backbone for Trade Finance Solutions, guiding complex commodity financing through structured structures, risk assessment, and strict governance. You collaborate with commercial, treasury, legal, accounting, operations, and banks to ensure accurate structuring, risk mitigation, and compliant execution. You oversee cross-border and multi-bank transactions, advising on LC wording and overall transaction risk. You join a center of excellence focused on sophisticated Trade Finance and value-driven governance to support global commodity flows.

• Review, structure, and validate Structured Letters of Credit and Trade Finance documentation
• Provide expert advice on transaction structures, LC wording, risk mitigation, and compliance
• Assess and approve complex and non-standard transactions including multi-bank and cross-border financing
• Act as a control layer between commercial structuring and operational execution
• Support and guide global execution teams on complex transactions, exceptions, and best practices
• Collaborate with banks, clients, and internal stakeholders across the lifecycle
• Monitor transaction accuracy, financial flows, and operational controls for timely execution
• Drive operational excellence through governance, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement

• 6+ years in Trade Finance within banks, commodity trading, or international trade environment
• Experience in Commodity Trade Finance
• Expertise in Letters of Credit, Stand-by LC and guarantees
• Deep knowledge of ICC rules and application (UCP 600, ISBP, ISP98, URC 522, Incoterms)
• Experience reviewing and validating complex banking and Trade Finance documentation
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making capabilities
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across locations, functions, and cultures
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
