Overview
In this role you design, test and commission the power systems for the CMS HGCAL detector. You will procure, test and integrate low- and medium-voltage supplies, and assess power-related performance and noise impacts. Working with a multinational team, you contribute to the construction, testing and commissioning of a large-scale detector, shaping detector reliability and data quality. You will engage across safety, monitoring and installation phases to ensure robust, low-noise power delivery.

- Oversee procurement and acceptance testing of power supplies (low voltage and bias) for HGCAL
- Support commissioning of power systems during mass assembly and testing
- Evaluate HGCAL performance against power systems and implement mitigation strategies
- Oversee installation, cable work, connectorisation, testing and commissioning underground
- Integrate power systems with detector safety and monitoring frameworks
- Strong track record in testing, operating and debugging power systems for complex detectors
- Experience with large-scale electronic procurement
