Overview
As an Automation Engineer MES / DeltaV, you implement, optimize, and support MES and DeltaV process control in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. You collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Process Development, Automation, Engineering, and Quality to ensure compliant, efficient operations. You will troubleshoot, document validation activities, and drive continuous improvements and adoption of new digital manufacturing solutions. - Design, implement, and validate MES recipes and DeltaV control strategies for compliant manufacturing
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Development, Automation, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure system integration and operational excellence
- Troubleshoot MES and DeltaV issues to minimize disruptions and maintain plant reliability
- Develop and maintain GMP-compliant technical documentation and validation records
- Train end users and provide ongoing system expertise
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, automation strategies, and system performance
- Contribute to adopting new technologies and digital manufacturing solutions
- Experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical/regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong MES knowledge (Werum PAS-X, Rockwell PharmaSuite, or similar)
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV or other DCS systems
- Understanding of GMP, CSV, and qualification activities
- Analytical problem-solving to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Degree or equivalent in Bioprocess/Biotech/Automation/Electrical Engineering or related technical field
