Global Associate Director, Patient Strategy & Partnerships

In this strategic global role, you will shape Abbott’s patient-centered engagement across regions, turning patient insights into business and policy decisions. You will build and evolve a worldwide patient engagement capability, collaborating with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Public Affairs, and Commercial teams. Your work strengthens partnerships with patient organizations to improve outcomes and access. • Shape and advance a global patient engagement strategy across the organization
• Integrate patient perspectives into business, medical, and access decisions
• Advise senior stakeholders on patient needs and healthcare trends
• Promote patient trust as a cornerstone of responsible healthcare leadership
• Develop and nurture relationships with patient organizations and leaders
• Create long-term collaborations for education, support programs, and evidence generation
• Translate patient insights into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on patient-centered policy and advocacy initiatives
• Build frameworks and best practices for patient engagement across Abbott
• Represent Abbott at industry meetings and patient advocacy forums

• 5+ years in Patient Engagement
• 10+ years of leadership experience in Medical Affairs, Market Access, Public Affairs, Advocacy or related healthcare disciplines
• Strong experience in oncology, biologics/biosimilars, policy, HTA and external stakeholder engagement
• Proven track record in influencing complex global organizations and external healthcare ecosystems
• External stakeholder management and partnership-building experience
• Experience in complex matrixed global health care organizations
• Excellent communication, storytelling, facilitation, and executive presentation skills
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
