Overview
As a Senior Photonics System Architect in Zurich, you will lead the design of on-chip optical communication systems and drive cross-functional R&D efforts. You will shape system-level architectures for PIC technology and oversee requirements management to align design, testing, and characterization. You will partner with design and optics teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions. This role offers the opportunity to influence photonics platforms and tooling choices in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment. Verantwortungsbereiche- Design optical on-chip communication systems
- Benchmark and select requirements management tools using PLM systems
- Define and implement requirements management methods for PIC technology
- Collaborate with R&D teams from design to optical testing and characterization
- 5+ years in RF and optical system design in PICs with ISO-compliant requirements management
- Experience with integrated photonics platforms (TFLN, silicon photonics, SiN, InP or related)
- Proficiency with Ansys Lumerical, GDSFactory, Luceda, PhotonDesign, or VPI Photonics
