Overview
Join the Sustainability and Behavior Change group at the University of Basel to investigate pro-environmental behavior using lab, online, and field experiments. You will design experiments, run studies, and analyze data to uncover principles of behavior change that promote sustainability. The position blends psychology, methodology, and real-world interventions, with opportunities for teaching, supervision, and international collaboration. Your work will contribute to societally relevant research within the Society & Choice focus of the faculty.

- Plan, conduct, and analyze laboratory and online experiments on determinants and consequences of pro-environmental behavior
- Design, conduct, and analyze field experiments testing interventions for promoting behavior change
- Disseminate findings via peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
- Contribute to teaching activities (seminars, examinations)
- Supervise student researchers (bachelor's and master's theses)
- Support organizational tasks within the research group
- Master's degree in Psychology or closely-related discipline
- Interest in pro-environmental behavior and behavior change
- Excellent knowledge of research methods and statistics; willingness to learn new approaches
- Experience running laboratory studies or field experiments is a plus
- Ability to analyze datasets using statistical software
- Experience designing computerized behavioral tasks or willingness to learn
- Proficiency in English and German; effective communication with researchers, participants, students, and stakeholders
