The client is a private medical establishment of reference in French-speaking Switzerland, with more than 200 professionals spread over two sites (Vaud and Valais). Specialized notably in orthopedics, urology, and neurosurgery, it stands out for the quality of its care, its high level of medical expertise, and its constant commitment to safety and well-being for its staff. This institution places the excellence of care and the development of skills at the heart of its priorities. As part of the replacement of the current Director of Nursing, who will retire in the autumn, it has commissioned us to recruit the person who will succeed her in the role of Director of Nursing. This key position is part of a logic of continuity, transfer, and development within a solid, structured institutional project that makes sense. In this role, you ensure the management and support of the nursing teams within the establishment. In this capacity, you supervise the entire nursing department as well as operating room care, relying on an intermediate management structure. In direct contact with the general management, you guarantee the quality, safety, and continuity of care, with a resolute focus on patient-centered approaches. You play a central role in leading the service and in supporting changes and developments.Main Responsibilities:• Lead and coordinate all activities of the nursing service (including operating rooms) • Supervise and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a logic of quality and skill development • Define and implement the nursing service's objectives in connection with the management • Oversee the efficiency of nursing care and techniques, particularly in operating rooms, with a focus on performance and medical-economic pathways • Drive and support service developments, ensuring their coherence with the establishment's objectives • Ensure optimal management of human resources, including overseeing replacements and talent management • Develop care projects, internal procedures, and a culture of safety • Represent nursing care to management bodies, medical partners, and partner institutions • Supervise quality audits and action plans • Encourage continuous learning and knowledge transfer within the service • Contribute to efficient management of resources and budgets • Support changes related to technological advancements and evolving needs Profile: • You hold a recognized nursing degree in Switzerland (HES or equivalent). A supplementary qualification in management or public health is an asset. • You have previously managed nursing teams and possess solid managerial experience, ideally in a hospital or clinic setting. • The ability to unite, motivate, and support change are skills you exercise with confidence and conviction. • Managing resources, analyzing quality, and ensuring best practices in care are part of your daily expertise. • You collaborate easily with physicians and other services in the establishment, in a spirit of collaboration. • Your vision and analytical capacity allow you to blend a high-level perspective with effectiveness. • French is a language you master perfectly, both in writing and speaking.
