Position: Developmental Adapted Physical Education Teacher
Duty Days Per Year: 186 contract days
Hours Per Day: 8
Salary: $48,166 - $89,645 per Teachers Work Agreement
Qualifications: Valid Minnesota Teaching License in Special Education - Developmental Adaptive Physical Education (DAPE)
Job Duties:
- Assisting assigned students to understand the value of physical activity and fitness in everyday life.
- Provide direct special education instruction to students identified for DAPE services.
- Provide consultation and support to Regular Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers and Educational Assistants.
- Perform DAPE educational assessments of students as required.
- Participate in IEP team meetings, as necessary.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs for students served under DAPE.
- Complete necessary due process requirements (Assessment Summary Reports, progress reporting, IEP goals and objectives, etc.).
