Position Description
BCBA – Location: Districtwide
Salary and Terms of Employment
Anticipated Start Date: Upon Hire. District Position (Calendar is 202 days). Daily Schedule: M-F 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. Salary Range begins at $70,000, based on experience. Reports to Director of Special Services.
Description
Works collaboratively to provide targeted behavioral support and intervention for students with identified behavioral needs.
Qualifications
- Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Certified by BACB
- Licensed in Connecticut
- Master’s degree in Psychology/Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
- A minimum of two years of experience working with children with special needs
- Expertise in the field and knowledge of autism spectrum disorder
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Functional Behavior Analysis and Behavior Intervention Plans
- Experience working in public school setting preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, Verbal Behavior and VB MAPP assessments preferred
- Able to utilize PMT with appropriate training
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with non-behavior analytic providers and team members
