Substitute Custodians - District Wide

Job Summary

Fort Lee Public Schools is seeking Substitute Custodians.

Job Goal

The Substitute Custodian shall perform routine cleaning and maintenance of school facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors. The Substitute Custodian follows established procedures and responds to building needs as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff members, both verbally and in writing
• Must be reliable and of good moral character
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Cleaning experience preferred
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift heavy objects
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Working Conditions

Called in on an as‑needed basis.

Salary

$20.00 per hour

Residency Requirement

Must reside in the State of New Jersey.
